AI is joining the conversation
AI has changed how we work, and it’s ready to change how we work together. But too often, it gets left at the meeting room door. Here’s what’s missing, and how Huddly can help bridge the gap.
For years, hybrid meetings have had two types of participants: people in the room and people joining remotely. At Huddly, we’ve worked to make the experience better for both, bringing remote participants into the conversation while making sure everyone in the room is seen, heard and understood. With technology that stays out of the way, so everyone can just get on with it.
Now, there’s a third type of participant: AI.
Collaboration platforms are already bringing AI tools and agents into meetings to support the team with summaries, transcripts and more. But the platform doesn’t always get the context it needs from the physical room. So the agents are left flying blind. That’s how you end up with transcripts that tell you what was said, but all you know is that it was said in “Meeting Room 3.”
To be able to do more, AI needs to make sense of what’s happening in the physical space: the geometry of the room, the people in it and how they interact. And that’s where Huddly comes in. The technology we built to make hybrid meetings more inclusive is now ready to provide the room context AI agents need to join the conversation too.
Thanks to Edge AI, each of our cameras is independently intelligent and can work together with others as one system. With shared spatial awareness, they build a real-time 3D model of the room, mapping where people are, who’s speaking and how they interact.
And because that intelligence runs locally, the data is processed right on the device. You can choose to share it with the collaboration platform or keep it in the room. When shared, that room context can enable richer AI experiences on the collaboration platform.
